Project Overview

As Seoul Galbi moves into its next generation, this photography project aims to create a fresh, consistent visual library that supports the restaurant’s new brand and digital presence. The photography will be designed for use across Seoul Galbi’s new website and online ordering experience, printed menus, social media, Google Business profile, delivery platforms, and other restaurant marketing. Rather than simply photographing a list of menu items, we’ll build the library around two priorities: Menu Photography and Brand & Lifestyle Photography.

Tier 1 — Menu Library

The Menu Library will provide clean, consistent photography of Seoul Galbi’s priority dishes for the new menu, website, and online ordering platforms. Photography may include:

  • Signature Korean BBQ meats

  • Stews and soups

  • Noodle and rice dishes

  • Entrées and specialty dishes

  • Banchan and side dishes

  • Other priority menu items We will establish consistent lighting, background, and composition at the beginning of the session so dishes can be moved efficiently through the set while maintaining a cohesive visual style. When dishes are prepared and ready consecutively, we can generally expect to photograph approximately 8–10 standard menu items per hour. More complex dishes, grilling setups, styling changes, and food preparation may require additional time. Before the shoot, we’ll create a prioritized menu list so the most important dishes are photographed first.

Tier 2 — Brand Library

Once the core menu photography is established, we’ll create a broader collection of images that communicate the Seoul Galbi dining experience and give the restaurant versatile marketing content. Potential images include:

  • Signature dish hero photographs

  • Korean BBQ grilling and cooking

  • Full-table spreads

  • Banchan arrangements

  • Hands serving, grilling, and sharing food

  • Guests enjoying the dining experience

  • Restaurant details and atmosphere

  • Interior and exterior photography

  • Horizontal website hero/banner images

  • Vertical imagery suitable for social media These photographs will be approached as storytelling and marketing images rather than standardized menu photographs and will generally require more production time per image.

Recommended Production Plan

Session One — Menu Library

Up to 2 hours | $650 Primary focus on Tier 1 priority menu items. We’ll establish the visual style and photograph as many of the highest-priority dishes as the kitchen can comfortably prepare during the production window.

Session Two — Menu + Brand Library

Up to 2 hours | $650 Complete remaining high-priority menu photography, then transition into signature hero photographs, Korean BBQ/grilling, table spreads, and other Brand Library imagery.

Initial Project Investment

Two 2-hour sessions: $1,300 This provides up to four hours of photography while allowing the sessions to be scheduled around Seoul Galbi’s slower operating periods.

Optional Additional Session

Brand & Lifestyle Session

Up to 2 hours | $650 If additional time is needed—or if we decide the lifestyle portion would benefit from its own dedicated session—we can add a third session. This session could concentrate specifically on:

  • Dining-experience photography

  • People interacting with food

  • Grilling sequences

  • Hero images

  • Interior/exterior images

  • Social-media-oriented content This also gives us the flexibility to evaluate what we’ve accomplished during the first two sessions before deciding whether additional photography is necessary.

Deliverables

The final collection will include professionally edited photographs selected from the images created during each session. Final images will be delivered in both:

  • High resolution for menus, print, and marketing

  • Web-optimized resolution for websites, online ordering, social media, Google, and delivery platforms An initial edited gallery will be available within approximately 3 business days following each photography session.

Commercial Usage

The photography fee includes commercial usage by Seoul Galbi for its:

  • Website and online ordering

  • Printed menus and restaurant materials

  • Google Business Profile

  • Delivery platforms

  • Organic social media

  • Advertising and restaurant marketing Lyn Morton Photography retains copyright to the photographs. Seoul Galbi may provide images to designers, printers, web developers, and other vendors when they are being used specifically to create marketing materials on behalf of the restaurant.

Preparing for the Shoot

To maximize the number of dishes we can photograph during each session, Seoul Galbi will provide a prioritized shot list before photography. We recommend organizing dishes into three production priorities: Must Have: Signature dishes and menu items essential to the website, menu, and online ordering launch. Important: Secondary dishes that should be photographed once the essential menu items are complete. Additional Content: Additional dishes, variations, and marketing images we’ll capture as production time allows. Because food preparation varies considerably from dish to dish, photography is scheduled by production time rather than by a guaranteed number of menu items. This allows us to maintain the quality and consistency of the photography without rushing food preparation or styling.

Investment

2-Hour Photography Session — $650 Recommended Initial Project — Two Sessions / Up to 4 Hours — $1,300 Optional Additional 2-Hour Session — $650 This structure gives us the flexibility to work efficiently around restaurant operations while building a strong, cohesive image library for Seoul Galbi’s new brand.
